About Melodey
With a storyteller’s heart and an eye for timeless imagery, I specialize in capturing quiet glances, laughter, and moments that feel fully alive. My intention as your guide behind the lens is to create a refined experience—gentle, intentional, and rooted in emotion. Hawai‘i is where my journey began, and while I shoot both locally and destination, every session is grounded in the themes of legacy, intimacy, and trust.

My love and passion for photography blossomed in high school. In my free time, I love getting movement in by walking in nature or weightlifting, enjoying my favorite coffee shop, home watching my favorite shows, and catching up with friends in our busy lives.

My Why

I believe my passion is my purpose. Being a photographer allows me to document moments in time—big or small—that will be remembered for years to come. That speaks volumes to me. I give 110% of myself to every session so my clients walk away feeling like their expectations were not just met, but exceeded. I want them to relive the in-between moments they may forget, to feel something each time they look at their photos.

What sets me apart in a saturated market? It’s the experience I create: the connection from the very beginning, the energy I bring, the comfort I offer, and the emotional impact of the final gallery. My creative eye allows me to document love, laughter, and life with depth—and intention. I’m personable, I read the room, and I meet my clients where they’re at—whether I’m amplifying their energy or gently holding space.

Ashlee Affonso

Melodey exceeded all my expectations. She captured the beauty of the Koʻolau mountains at our wedding exactly how I imagined—and somehow even read my mind, photographing all the moments I hoped for without me ever saying a word.

Her calm energy and kind words made me feel beautiful throughout the day. One of my favorite memories is her and her team flying my cape for a photo—it ended up being one of the best shots in the whole album. We still laugh and smile every time we look through our photos and relive how much fun everyone was having. Big mahalo!
